1 – How long have you been with Crossfit Paradox?
I started at Crossfit Paradox in January 2014.
2 – How many times a week do you come in?
My goal would be 4 times a week; however it can range anywhere from 3-5 days.
3 – How has Crossfit helped you with your health/fitness?
I’ve always been active throughout my life, and I joined Crossfit because I knew it would be something that challenged me. I’ve done marathons/ half marathons and I wanted to do something different then just running. I love that when I come into the gym there’s a workout for me that is a whole body workout. I also love the communal atmosphere and competition that each workout brings.
4 – Where are you from?
I’m from Arlington Heights.
5 – Aside from Crossfit, what else do you like to do on your free time?
I am busy these days finishing up grad school for my Master’s in Reading and preparing for Baby Shook. I love to get together with my family and friends, shop, and on occasion I have a crafty side. 🙂
6 – What is your favorite movement/workout?
As much as they’re no fun while you’re doing them, I enjoy the longer workouts that have some more cardio in them. I always leave feeling like I got a great workout in. I also like squats, box jumps (back when I could do them), and running!
7 – What do you like most about CrossFit?
As I said above, I really love the community at Crossfit and the fact that I don’t have to think about my workouts–I just show up! Right now, I’m loving that everything can be modified because burpees just don’t work when your 7 months pregnant! Chris and Luke have been really helpful in modifying workouts for me so that I can still participate and get a workout in despite not being able to do everything. I hope to continue to be active at Crossfit Paradox until the baby comes in January, and I know they’ll help me get back in shape after baby!
